Research Interests


My research is broadly focused on using trace elements, platinum-group elements and the Re-Os and Pt-Os isotope systems to trace mantle processes and to understand the evolution of the Earth and it’s mantle since accretion.
I am currently working with Dr Ambre Luguet, investigating the composition and melting history of the Hadean-Early Archean mantle via 186Os and 187Os isotope study of Archean chromitites and ultramafic rocks and single grains. Re-Os and Pt-Os model ages record of the timing of episodes of mantle melting, which are intrinsically linked to crust early crust formation. This study will constrain the timing of Hadean crust-mantle differentiation events and provide greater insight into the nature of Earth’s early mantle and the timing of the late veneer bombardment.
